Camping le Braou : our services

Discover Le Braou, our municipal campsite on the Bay of Arcachon! Ideally located halfway between Arcachon and Cap-Ferret, our 3-star open-air hotel has everything you need for an unforgettable stay. You will stay in a quiet but friendly place in Audenge, only 2 kilometres from the seaside.

Only 800 metres separate you from the town centre and its amenities, and you are only 2 km from one of the beaches of the Bassin d’Arcachon; the wild beach of Audenge. To reach the first ocean beach, you will have to drive for 18 km to the beaches of Truc Vert, Horizon or Grand Crohot. Our campsite at the Bassin d’Arcachon offers you to rent bare pitches with shade, half-shade or sunshine and mobile homes for rent, as well as chalets, canvas bungalows, caravans and our latest arrival: the Coco Sweet tent!

This 5-hectare campsite under the pine trees has a playground, a heated swimming pool and a paddling pool for the little ones. You can also enjoy a game of volleyball on the campsite pitch or invite your neighbours to play a game of pétanque on the boulodrome near the barbecue area. For sportsmen and women, the campsite offers horse riding (3 km) or hiking (2 km).

A bicycle rental service will allow you to discover the region with peace of mind thanks to a reliable and professional partner. The network of cycle paths passes in front of the campsite and allows you to easily tour the Bassin d’Arcachon in complete peace of mind, even with your children. Thanks to the accessories provided by the bike hire company, there is no need to worry about anything: helmets, trailers or child seats, anti-puncture spray; everything is designed so that you can just enjoy your discovery of the Basin.

Animation and catering

We also offer various activities on site: volleyball and table tennis, entertainment, dance evenings as well as entertainment and a mini-club for your children but also a teenagers’ club to help make the best friendships on holiday.

The campsite offers a children’s club, a teenagers’ club and fun evenings for young and old alike during July and August. Not forgetting the heated swimming pool with its own paddling pool and solarium where you can relax on comfortable deckchairs. A playground with slides, swings, spring games and a small house for the little ones is at your disposal.

Motorhome owners: the campsite has a new Euro-relay station located outside the campsite. The rate is 2 € for a full tank of water (the machine accepts credit cards). Passing campervans are accepted.

Let yourself be seduced by the play of the tides, by bike rides, by oyster tastings in the huts of the oyster ports all around the Bay of Arcachon.

The first beach of the Bassin d’Arcachon is less than 2 km away. You can swim there according to the tides. If the tide is not with you, don’t panic; the natural seawater pools will allow you to cool off at any time of the day. Voted the largest swimming pool in Europe, you can’t leave Audenge without splashing around in its waters, tasting oysters in the oyster harbour or even missing out on the breathtaking sunset walk along the coastal path (Domaines de Certes and Graveyron). You can reach this little corner of paradise by the cycle path at the entrance to the 3-star Le Braou campsite, either on foot or by bike.

Before leaving, don’t forget to take a dip in the seawater pool, the largest in Europe… you’ll surely see it when you arrive at the port.

Bike rental

The best way to discover the Bassin d’Arcachon region is by bike. Thanks to the cycle track accessible just in front of the Municipal Campsite Le Braou, you can easily reach the oyster port of Audenge, the beautiful seaside town of Andernos-Les-Bains or the Ornithological Reserve of Le Teich. A little experiment to try: take the maritime shuttle between Arcachon and Andernos or Le Cap-Ferret with your bike so that you don’t miss anything of the surroundings! However, we recommend that you book in advance. To discover the region by bike, there’s no need to worry, you can trust Bigabike, our professional bike hire company, directly on the campsite.

With direct delivery to the campsite, no deposit required and a reasonable price, you don’t have to worry about anything other than enjoying your particularly comfortable bikes. Whether you are ready to trust only your calves or to opt for electric assistance, Bigabike will be able to guide you and advise you as best as possible. Children will not be outdone as there are also children’s models available. For the little ones, think of the cart or the child seat so that your whole family can fully enjoy the day.

Helmets, tyre bombs, phone rests, storage bags; Bigabike has everything you need for your outings. Another alternative: a guided ride. Apart from the fact that the Bigabike team is passionate about bikes, they are just as passionate about our region and they take particular pleasure in guiding you off the beaten track so that you can discover all the beautiful facets of the Bay of Arcachon. One thing is certain: you won’t get bored on your bikes!
